The project
Clear Accounting Solutions provides a range of accounting services to small businesses within the Shropshire area. Owner Linda West has been in the accounting industry for many years but found herself wanting to go it alone and set up her own business.
What we did
It was our job to create a site for Linda that would set her apart from the rest.
The typical design of most accounting websites means that they appear corporate, impersonal and not at all user friendly.
We worked with Branding By G to create a logo concept that avoided the corporate look and was instead colourful and simple. This then provided us with styling cues for the rest of website itself.
Our aim for this mobile responsive WordPress website was to make it easy to use, readable and to communicate a personal feel.
We did this by using a modern typeface, colourful images and a picture of Linda herself, rather than the usual accountancy website staples of calculators and pens!
Other features included integration of a Facebook ‘Like’ box – appropriate as she is an active Facebook user.
We also included a mailing list that offers subscribers a guide to 12 bookkeeping tips, and is sent out automatically in a branded email to anyone who enters their email address into the site.
